Brighten Your Smile
AT WYNDHAM DENTAL SOLUTIONS
Do you ever wonder why your teeth look yellow or discoloured? It could be due to your lifestyle!
Over time, the enamel absorbs pigments from daily consumption of coffee, tea, fizzy drinks, red wine, staining foods, and cigarettes, causing dullness. Teeth whitening can remove these surface stains, restoring your natural tooth colour, while bleaching can lighten enamel beyond its original shade by using a peroxide-based agent to break down deeper stains.
At Wyndham Dental Solutions, we offer professional teeth whitening in Werribee to help you achieve a radiant smile!

What Kind Of Stains Can Be Removed
WITH TEETH WHITENING?
These stains can vary in severity from minor discolouration on the surface to more noticeable ones within the structure. Teeth whitening can effectively address two types of stains.
Extrinsic Stains
These stains occur on the outer surface of the tooth, known as the enamel. Stains that the tooth absorbs over the years because of coffee, tea, alcohol, cigarettes, or various staining foods, known as ‘extrinsic stains’, can be removed using professional teeth whitening. Extrinsic stains are also relatively easier to treat with teeth whitening treatments, as they are on the surface of the tooth.
Intrinsic Stains
Known as intrinsic stains, they are embedded in the inner, deeper layers of the tooth (dentin) and are relatively complex to treat. They occur due may be due to a several reasons like long-standing tooth infections, old metallic fillings or possibly formed during the developing stages of a tooth due to certain medications, nutritional deficiencies, genetic predispositions, etc.
Intrinsic stains may require additional treatments, as whitening alone may not be effective enough. Our team of dental professionals in Werribee will assess your smile and come up with the best course of action for you.
In-Chair VS Over-The-Counter
WHITENING PRODUCTS
It may seem like an attractive deal to achieve that sparkle for a lesser cost within the comfort of your own home, but what they fail to advertise is the harm that over-the-counter whitening treatments may inflict on your oral health! Over-the-counter whitening kits can lead to hypersensitivity and cause burns along your gums. It’s best to follow professional dental advice for at-home whitening treatments.
Charcoal-based toothpastes and powders can be quite abrasive on your teeth, and although they may give you temporary results, they may lead to long-term, gradual wear of your teeth, resulting in increased susceptibility to tooth chipping and decay. We recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our dental professionals so we can either effectively administer teeth whitening agents to your smile or supply you with all the guidance needed to do it safely at home.
Our Teeth Whitening Process
IN WERRIBEE
At Wyndham Dental Solutions, we take a step-by-step approach to create the best treatment plan for you.
To ensure that the effects of in-office bleaching last longer, we recommend at-home teeth whitening.
This involves using custom-made trays created at our clinic after taking an impression of your teeth. We also provide a whitening agent with a lower concentration that is safe for home use. This at-home treatment is conducted for two weeks following the in-office whitening, with each session lasting one hour per day. This helps to enhance and maintain your bright smile for a longer period!
My Next Teeth Whitening
APPOINTMENT
In some cases, patients may develop temporary sensitivity after bleaching, but this is nothing to be concerned about. This is quite manageable, and fluoride gel will be prescribed to strengthen your teeth. We’ll make sure you’re fully prepared to handle any sensitivity before you leave our clinic with that spectacular new smile!
It is recommended to have your teeth whitened twice a year at most as this minimises the risk of increased sensitivity. We offer various other dental treatments such as general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry to restorative dentistry, so you can feel perfect with the most dashing smile.
Cost Of Teeth Whitening
IN WERRIBEE
Since our teeth whitening treatments are tailored to your unique needs, the cost of treatment is not predetermined. It depends on individual factors such as the number of bleaching gel sessions you may need, any pre-whitening treatments required and the complexity of staining.
When you come in for a consultation, we will assess your condition and provide a detailed breakdown of the cost and payment plans we provide so you can make an informed decision.
Teeth whitening cost may vary depending on the selected teeth whitening option and each person’s needs. To make sure the treatment works within your budget, we will go over possible payment methods and provide a thorough breakdown of the charges during your dental appointment.
